You may have seen online that MAC have teamed up with 10 worldwide influencers to make their own lipsticks, 2 of which are from the UK. Lucky for me, our UK MAC girls are two that I absolutely love: Glamour Beauty Director Alessandra Steinherr, and vlogger Fleur de Force.
When I first heard that Alex and Fleur were our girls, I thought that MAC had chosen really well. Alex is a legendary staple within the beauty industry, innately understanding what looks great on women and how women want simple but glamorous make-up solutions. Fleur’s career has varied from blogs, vlogs and even writing her own books and she captures the best of fashion, beauty and lifestyle in her content, understanding what the everyday girl wants and needs in her make-up bag. Together, they’ve made two classic nudes that you’re going to love.
(Just a little tip: in any photos where I’ve put them together, you’ll find Alessandra’s lipstick on the left and Fleur’s on the right.)
I like the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine 44, the Dior Addict Lipstick Care and Dare Mellow Beige, and obviously I’ve made my own colors with MAC. I literally mixed it myself one time when I was at their lab—I never thought it was going to be sold. I just wanted a lipstick that looks like the ideal color of my lips. In case you didn’t already know, I’m ever so slightly obsessed with Alessandra.
I just love her. She is always just as lovely when I see her as she comes across on her photos, Q&A’s and social, and I really trust her recommendations. She came to Birmingham last summer and recommended everything for her guests from La Mer moisturiser to Soap and Glory illuminator; I love that she gives every brand the same attention and that she’ll tell you what she is loving whether it costs pennies or the earth.
Count fish voice changer. The Alessandra lipstick is a sheer fleshy pink in a lustre finish, giving a balmy gloss with medium coverage. I feel like this lipstick will sit really well on everyone because it is quite lip-like in colour, giving the illusion of your lips but better when worn.
(Oh em gee! I just googled the collab to see if I could find any actual quotes from Alessandra about what her inspirations were and I found this one on Glamour where she actually described it as “your lips but better” in the piece!)

I still remember the first time I went for breakfast with Fleur four years ago, and I’ve loved watching her go from strength to strength ever since.
Fleur is one of my favourite bloggers and I love when I get to spend time with her. She’s someone that you will see at a launch and despite both living and breathing beauty for most of the time, we’ll end up spending the whole time talking about pets. Ha. I know how much Fleur values her readers and I think she’s chosen something so classic to ensure that everyone will get to enjoy her new arrival.
Fleur’s lipstick is a classic, creamy nude, a really universal shade that you’ll wear with everything. A cool nude in a cremesheen finish, this gives you the comfort of a cream finish and a polished opaque finish. Use alone for an everyday look or team with smoky eyes to finish your make-up look without overpowering it.
Fleur’s lipstick is going into Selfridges, so again keep an eye on their website to see if any PA dates will be announced.
Both of these lipsticks will launch on 8th May on maccosmetics.co.uk and then 10th May in their respective department stores.

As a MAC obsessed teen, I never expected one day to have my own lipstick with the most iconic pro makeup lover’s brand. I might have dreamt it – but it seemed so far out of my reach…Until last May, whilst on assignment for GLAMOUR, I got to visit the MAC labs in Toronto and had the opportunity to mix my own lipstick. It was made very clear at the time that this was just for personal use (I had asked if I could give some away via my Instagram – but got told that for health and safety reasons that was not an option). I did proceed to create my dream shade – a fleshy, sheer pink that was easy to wear and turns every lip into that perfect plump, kissable pout.
Everyone always talks about the prefect nude, but many of these are way too beige for me and make me look dug up. Pantone color manager 2 3 4 pro. Fl studio 20 for mac free. Brown-based lipsticks don’t suit everyone, whereas a touch of pink is universally flattering. It was clear for me from the get-go that the texture had to be ‘Lustre’ – this formula had lost in popularity over the past few years with mattes being so on trend. But it’s always been my fave – because it’s translucent and moisturising, making lips look really juicy and naturally plumper.
That day in the lab, blending my perfect shade was hands down one of the highlights of my career – I got to take away ten samples and of course proceeded to Instagram the hell out of them. And that’s where the magic happened – thanks to YOU! Fast forward to last December when I got told by MAC that the response to the lipstick had been so positive that they decided to do their first ever Influencer Collaboration – choosing 10 Influencers world-wide to create their own shade and sell it in their country. Being the emotional wreck that I am, of course – I cried.
The whole process was meant to be kept a secret and the shades not to be revealed for a while, but obviously, my lipstick was already done, so it wasn’t much of a secret. And here we are one year later and I am so proud that it’s finally available. To celebrate the launch, I filmed a video with my friend, fellow beauty editor and blogger Victoria Ceridono, who created the most DIVINE matte red lipstick to be sold in her native Brasil. I hope you enjoy our video – we tried on each other’s lipstick, mused over what other products we’d love to create and laughed a lot as we always do…
